The Later story reads like he had it all figured out from the Start– but the careful reader, who might stay true to the entire journey of this perhaps most feeble patriarch, knows there is more! From the struggle for the place in the womb– to his notion concerning the promise– a thing to grasp– one could legitimately picture a young man full of “dreams” and could question just whether he had skill or labor (man-power) to attain the dreams! Or perhaps, it were just a “fantasy” of the dream? For indeed it was until God came to him– revealing himself; that he began to understand the dream– the Promise!
